What's a hard 'n' heavy band?

So far first 30 seconds of Fear the Fire is weird... And same for the next 30 for that matter, that's just my opinion though. The others are ok but not my cup of tea(vocalist wise). From just hearing these songs they sound more like they should be in the power/progressive genre then what ever hard and heavy is?
