That might be true, what I meant was just that alot of Americans are ignorant when it comes to alot of subjects. Not only subjects regarding the world around them, but also subjects regarding their own country.

I never said the Vikings were retarded, I just said the Spartains were smarter that's all.
And sune, have you ever been to America? I could say a lot of people from Denmark are ignorant in many subjects as well. Saying all American's are stupid isn't really valid. Just a sterotype.

| No, I have never been to America, and what I said wasn't personal, but it's true. Sure, it might be a "stereotype", but sometimes stereotypes are there for a reason, because they're true. If you read what I said I didn't say "ALL Americans" though, I said "alot".

I hope they both win. Modern warfare sucks ass. Spartans had an interesting social system. Not perfect but damn near close. The Vikings rule just from their sheer coolness. Hail Vikings! Hail Spartans!  |

Though thread dudes... But, as student of ancient occidental cultures, I have to "break a spear" for the Spartans. Their way of life, their social organisation, their religion...
Please, check wikipedia and don't let the films decide for U. Spartans didn't "start" with Leonidas and the Thermopyles Battle, and they didn't finish with him when he was died in combat. Sparta had an existence of thousands years. Like all the Ancient Greek culture.
In the middle of the battle, the Spartans don't ask what is the number of the enemies, they just ask where the Hell they are.
