Both bands can get a bit cheesy, but Rhapsody wins by a mile. It's the Christopher Lee narration that got to me, and the sheer epicness of their songs.

Rhapsody... Hammerfall is even more gay than Nanowar. They aren't original at all, their lyrics suck, their solo's suck etc but some times there are good parts of songs though

I happen to think Hammerfall are pretty bloody good!

Mind you, I have heard very little from Rhapsody, and whatever it was, I can't remember it, so maybe I should try listening to them some more before attempting to make any comparisons

Hammerfall bore me, they're in that "randomly and undeservedly overrated" category along with Sonata etc for me.

Rhapsody are great, kings of cheese (in a good way!)
