Nowadays its surprising how many punks listen to metal and vice verse. Emo, Sceamo, hardcore, Grindcore, Goth is all forms from punk. Just because people post on here it doesn't mean they are only metal fans. There is a new fad of revived punk having major influences on modern musics. You've only got to look at the fashion sense of some of the more younger metal fans to see many are more punk orientated than metal.

With all this screamo, emo and Goth etc around I wondered how many posters were primarily from a punk rock background and what the true metal fans felt about all this punk rock.

Sick of it all is hardcore punk. crossover is thrash / hardcore punk cross. Sick of it all are too tight and structured musically to be just punk. they are too metal to not be crossover.
