Could something like this be considered industrial: http://www.theprojecthate.net/downloads/01-entrance.mp3

I really like this shit, excellent agressive growls, and some cool riffs, and nice female vox.

DOMINAAAAAAAAATE!!!

I personally wouldn't have called ZYKLON an "industrial" band although I understand what you mean. I think they are not industrial enough compared to bands like MINISTRY or LAIBACH.

True, but I think using industrial elements is enough to classify a band as industrial metal.

Google the two bands: Heart Impaled, and Toxic Grind Machine. Two great bands made from boys at home on their computers

Heart Impaled has more industrial elemnts, and TGM is really fast metal with other influences.. Drum machine kills too . Melodic stuff too with pianos.

I was big on industrial in my late teens.

Today, I have dropped EBM for metal,
the reason being that the original 80's and early 90's thumpy, bombastic, aggresive noise has been dropped for a shitty trance style 4 x 4 beat with shitty wannabe black metal vocals. Also EBM has been adopted almost entirely by goths, the style never appealed to me (except for chicks) and I always looked out of place in clubs and concerts.

Having said that, I still love my martial music. I continue to dig Early Laibach, Sophia, Triarri, In Native Slaughter, Dead Man's Hill and Wappenbund. As for EBM, i used to listen mostly to skinny Puppy, Early FLA, Front 242, early Leather strip, early Funker Vogt and Aghast View. I think Wumpscut is all i still listen to now, Ruddy is a musical genious imo.

Industrial metal acts like Ministry still make my play list, as well as Rammstien and fear factory. Coincidently, i also feel the 80's and early 90's was the golden age of metal, particularly black and thrash.

I can listen to Grendel or Tactical Sekt when I'm in the mood for them, but if its good E.B.M. I want -> Dawn of Ashes <- , hands down! And they're going metal. \m/

I hope they sound like ...And Oceans on steroids on this new album. I can't wait! Freaks!
