Well it depends what you like. If you like their Industrial-style music, you'll choose Demanufacture, but if you prefer their original Death-style then Soul Of A New Machine should be your favourite.
i got both of those albums.
demanufature is my favorite. i dont understand why people call fear factory nu metal cause they are NOT any means!

No, well they aren't Nu-Metal, but you can't deny that they've changed direction, even in the last couple of years. It isn't Nu-Metal at all, no, and some of their new stuff is pretty good, but some not quite as good. They have had a general evolution and their direction is a bit different now than what it was.

i know that but i hate it when people call them nu metal cause they dont have solos. fear factory sounds more like godflesh syl and chaos ad era sepultura then coal chamber korn and slipknot.

Well not all metal has solos in it and also not all nu-metal doesn't have solos. I guess Fear Factory would still be Industrial, but they still sound a bit different to their 2000 sound, which was again a bit different to their early Industrial sound. Maybe they sound like Godflesh, not quite as much like Strapping Young Lad though. In SYL's own way, I'd say that they are more aggressive. They don't really sound like Korn or Slipknot etc either. They aren't Nu-Metal, but just a progression of Industrial from their older sound.

Fear Factory has always been one of my favs, simply due to the fact that they aren't afraid to switch it up. I will admit a couple of the more recent albums obviously has some problems but in general its good music. In my opinion the reason to the sudden 'downfall' of their music would have be the parting of guitarist Dino Cazares whom from what I remember did a significant amount of song writing on everything prior to Archetype.

BTW my fav album is Obsolete

I love Fear Factory with Dino Cazares.

it was pure and real. I heard a rumor Burt and Dino are talking again and there might be a reunion of them and Raymond. anyone have a comment about this?

I personally find to be incredible if they got back together. you can't deny the chemistry that was there. i saw them after dino left and it seemed the magic was gone. I am not a fan of any other stuff Dino has done or of anything the other guys have done but together that was the shit!
