My dad loves these guys lmao. I on the other hand dont really like them. Any other opinions?

Your Dad likes them?! Haha, wow. Yeah, I think they're pretty good too. Has anyone heard the new album? Aparentely it's not like what they used to be, but still a pretty good effort. There's a digipak copy sitting there at my local music store, which is surprising. I might get it.

Ur right, but if u look beneath "Heavy Metal" its says "For the classics". Venom was formed in the late 70's, and itd oesnt get much more classic then that.

Some people aslo think that Mayhem, Bathory Darkthrone are classics too - they have had enormous influence over the black metal scene for almost 2 decades already. They are classics too, but I wouldnt make a thread about Mayhem in heavy metal subforum - it may be a classic band, but at first it still is a black metal band.
