Couldn't agree with you more, brother.
Heaven and Hell is THE greatest album of all time IMO.
There's not one weak song on the album, whereas there was ALWAYS at least one turkey on each of Ozzy's offerings.

I'm just looking forward to tomorrow when I'll be seing Ronnie in all his glory performing Holy Diver - IN IT'S ENTIRETY \m/ \m/

i have no idea what the fuck you are ever talking about, but Mourn was right. Black Sabbath is the first band to have played the doom metal style. That's where other doom bands like Saint Vitus, Cathedral, Candlemass, Down, etc, get their influence from. Just listen to their fucking music.

Black Sabbath are my favorite. I don't really count them much as fully doom, they're proto doom maybe. I think Tony Martin was their best singer, like skill wise. Ozzy was the least skillful singer they had, but the era with him in it is my favorite.

All the lineups were good though.

I don't think it matters whether he was a good singer or not, there was a feeling in that voice that helped the songs along. I mean, can you imagine 'Paranoid', 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath', 'Black Sabbath', 'Iron Man' etc any other way? I only think of Ozzy in relation to those songs. However I don't like what Ozzy Osbourne has come to be associated with now!
