A record deal with Firebox Records was made a few months after the recordings of the demo, and Swallow the sun entered studio at late July 2003. During the following 3 weeks they recorded their debut album.

Swallow the Sun from Finland is a consistently good death/doom metal band with a large following.

Swallow the Sun are embarking on a huge North American tour to support their new album that will be released September 17, 2008.

I found out about them in a blog, and they are really good, I love 'Hope' it's such a great album... In my opinion their style it's not unique but has that special touch, a very good melodic band; or so I think
