Hi yall im new her but I decided to ask the all important question of which the Epic Doom Metal band is the better: my vote goes to Candlemass

I don't know about that. Solitude Aetrnus is pretty good. Though as i said I do that Candlemassis the better.

Candlemass. I don't think any doom metal band can top Candlemass(not even one as talented as Solitude Aeturnus), their songs are so eerie, and they are the ultimate in depressing. so yeah, candlemass.

I have to disagree. While I do love Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnas gives me goosebumps. :P

I love both bands, but I have to give the edge to Solitude, they have a stronger discography.

I'm not too much into the traditional stuff, but Candlemass is great, even though I've only bothered to listen to Epicus Doomicus Metallicus and Nightfall.
