Default Whos better: Matt Barlow or Tim Owens

I would have to pick Barlow because Owens is just a craper verson of Rob Halford(Halford kicks ass). . TIM OWENS BLOWS ASS!

I'll take Tim Owens, he is the much better singer of the two. Matt Barlow didn't have the the range or versitility that Tim Owens does. Jon Schaffer and Barlow sound too alike, Owens adds more contrast to Iced Earth vocally.

For me Matt was way better - I even think he's one of the best vocalists out there. But actually I didn't like IE that much anymore after Something Wicked.... (and Alive in Athens).

I agree with the majority here. Tim isn't that bad though. Quite different. It's like listening to Primal Fear for the first time when Ralf sings like that.

You did'nt like Horror Show? It's on of my favourite Iced Earth albums.

They are both fine singers, but I miss Matt Barlow since I still prefer him over any other Iced Earth vocalist. People underrate Tim Owens, he is not that horrible as many think he is. His voice can be really intense, but if there is something he simply can't do is sound sad in an effective way. He makes the Valley Forge intro sound like an evil plan of some villain in a Walt Disney animation movie.

I also think that Matt was the better vocalist. I loved his voice and I always enjoy the "Alive in Athens" album because it was really great!
There are good songs with Tim as singer, but I don't think he's as interesting as Matt when I hear his voice... Just my two cents.
