Default Maudlin Of The Well

If anyone hasn't heard them, Maudlin of the Well is a REALLY good progressive metal band. The album "leaving your body map" is SO good, it kicks my ass. I recommend a severe download session.

For those who do know them, favorite song off it? Mine is 'Gleam In Ranks'.

I've had Bath and Leaving Your Body Map CDs for a several years now. Maudlin of the Well's music did kick my ass when I first listened to it. The song "Riseth He, The Numberless" still seems relevant now.

Kayo Dot (new band name) liketh not so much.

Yeah, i'm not into Kayo Dot so much myself.

and i haven't gotten into bath too much yet, but i like a couple songs, (Marid's gift of art, and girl with a watering can)

If you know any other bands with a similar sound to this, i'd appreciate the recommendation.

You might like Secrets of the Moon's latest album Antithesis. Antithesis is less jazzy than MotW but the guitar style is along the same road.

Ya so? I only mentioned the album Antithesis. Antithesis is much more brutal but it is the only trance inducing music in the same vein to L.Y.B.M. or Bath I've ever heard.
