Default Evergrey:Inside metallium

1-The Dark Discovery 1998 Prog-Power
2-Solitude, Dominance, Tragedy 1999 Prog-Power
3-In Search Of Truth 2001 Prog-Power
4-Recreation Day 2003 Prog-Power
5-The Inner Circle 2004 Progressive
6-A night to remember (live) 2005 Progressive
Evergrey has recruited two new members. One new bassplayer Michael Hekansson, since Daniel Nojd left for personal reasons and one Keyboard player Sven Karlsson. Both the guys have earlier been members of the Swedish Black/Death-act Embraced but now they both can see themselves as fullworthy members of Power-prog-melodic-act Evergrey.

Michael Håkansson and Sven Karlsson are still in the Embraced band. I see them as progressive symphonic black metal and it has been my favorite band since late 2002.

I've bought Recreation Day. It's an exellent album. Very catchy songs and there all performed greatly. Evergrey is a band I'm starting to invest on.

Very, very(!) good band. I love their lyrics. I don't want to say that they are "dark" or something like this because I think that everyone has an other opinion of it. But I think they've got a "dark touch", to say it like this.

I've got almost every album.
But I must admit: Monday Morning Apocalypse wasn't that good. I missed the really "dark touch" in this album... It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't as good as the others, such as Dark Discovery or The Inner Circle (which could be called my "favorite album of Evergrey" )

I haven't become a proud owner of Dark Discovery yet... been searching for it for some time though. Once I even thought their first two albums were out of print or something, until I found Solitude Dominance Tragedy just a few months ago. It surprises me how they always manage to make a different release every time. The latest one was the first step that has disappointed me so far, maybe because my expectations were pretty high. Of course if another band had released Monday Morning Apocalypse as their debut album it would have been great, but I know that Evergrey are capable of much better than that.

The next album is coming out this year. Damn, these guys are fast...
