That's all there is though, lol. I don't really think that they're that much of a band, more of a 'project'. Seeing as they were only ever going to release these two albums. I found out about this project from being an Edguy fan of course, and The Metal Opera has some great Power/Symphonic Metal on it. It's also cool how they have so many guest musicians to play all the characters. It's a beautiful story as well.

Well I'm pretty sure they don't, lol. They had a self titled EP which had some Metal Opera songs on it anyway, then the Metal Opera parts 1 & 2. Only 'The Final Sacrifice' wasn't on either Metal Opera.

yes, there's only 2 albums.

@ Necromancer_S : 'The final sacrifice' is on Metal opera part 2...

@Seb: Ahh, shit, so it is, well, in that case the only thing that the EP has that the two don't is the edited version of the song Avantasia. So there you go, pretty much just two albums anyway.

Avantasia is a great band - when you are in the mood of listening to some great melodic power metal songs. The fact is that i havnt listened them for ages now so cant pick a certain song or songs that i really liked - i remember one being with the lead singer of Within Tepmtation.

Good band though it is in my opinion a bit too simplistic when it comes to guitar technique. No killer riffs nor solos... it's too much based on the vocal lines.

Yes, they're are a great band, but I think that METAL OPERA I and II are only two project born from a lot of artists...Avantasia has produced only 2 cds!!

Well that's all it was ever meant to be. Avantasia was just a little project that Tobias Sammet made when he decided that he wanted to make a Metal Opera. What more than two cd's did you expect from them? A part three of The Metal Opera? When it's already finished? Another unrelated album? Avantasia is a project.
