This is the band with the "Metal Opera" albums, correct? Is it any good? I don't know, it seems kinda fishy...

It's not only good to me, but wonderful. Expect some Edguy with numerous different and excellent singers.

With some great guests as usual :
Sascha Paeth (ex-Heavens Gate), Eric Singer (Kiss), Bob Catley (Magnum), Jorn Lande (ex-Masterplan)... should be released late summer

The Scarecrow is a car crash of an album. Lost in Space sounds like a Coldplay song, Carry me over isn't far from that either, and most of the rest of it is just bland as hell. I prefer power metal to generic rock + pop.

Best track is probably shelter from the rain imo

Sell out may be a bit extreme a term, it's nowhere near the level of Elvenking and Cryptopsys new albums on the sell-out-scale-of-doom, it's really only those two tracks I mentioned in my previous post, especially Lost In Space, god, how many Sammett fanboys are forcing their ears to like that song? Music for mums, seriously.

It's really just a bland rocky album, it just sounds like a failed attempt in some places, especially THOSE two tracks, in some places it works well (parts of the epic 2nd track are great for example)

Metal Opera Part 2 is my favourite! The High point is a bit early on (Seven Angels and No Return), but the whole album is good minus the ballads... haha. If you were telling me to get 1 and 2, Leviathan, don't worry as I have had them for a while, I remember downloading Part II pretty much on it's release date, Avantasia were quite an early metal discovery for me. Great stuff anyway, the first two, and treasure them, as Avantasia simply aren't going to do albums like that again, the Scarecrow and those EP's show that much.
