Well, I live in a town where you don't see that many animals other than cats, rabbits, squirriels and a lot of birds, but I live quite close to some woods where I know there are foxes, deers, owls, pheasans and smaller snakes. The wildlife in Denmark is quite equal all over the country, so there's probably some badgers around too, but I've never seen one alive.

You see, there's not much of the larger wildlife around in Denmark anymore, actually, the badger is the largest carnivore. Though, projects with getting some of the original species to breed in nature has begun. There's around 60-70 beavers in northern Jutland, and there's debate about bringing boars and elks back. The last wolf in Denmark died some hundreds of years ago, but a wolf was found quite close to the Danish border in Germany a few months back, and sometimes elks from Sweden swims across the seas to Denmark, though unfortunately the last one got hit by a train.

Nothing around here can be a threat.

Small snakes, rabbits, birds, racoons, stuff that isn't dangerous.

This area here is hilly, and full of forests. There are the usual leopards, bears, wolves, foxes, deers (many kinds of deers) in the surrounding forests.

While in my immediate surrroundings, there are monkeys, flying foxes and scorpions, I am yet to find out what species they are. Will let everyone know when I find out.

There's a lot of cows and horses around here, too. But they can hardly be described as wildlife, together with the cats I mentioned, lol.

There are mainly two types:

The
Macaca mulatta

and the Presbytis entellus

And oh, if by "your area" you mean the whole country, then there is a HUGE variety in fauna here, with most being exotic. The same applies to my state anyways, so anyone interested can check out this site of my state's tourism deptt. to know what I am talking about.

I live in Central Illinois, where most of the land has been cleared off for farmland. So the wildlife consists mostly of rabbits, squirrels, possums, raccoons, deer, and peasants and other birds. I did see a beaver crossing the road the other day, which was a surprise.
