Seriously. You cant trust anyone on reviews, you just cant trust anyone. Everyone has diffrent opinions on music. So likely look at www.blabbermouth.net they rate all albums under 8 or just 8. And then when i listen to some of them they are great while Blabbermouth's rating is under 7. www.metalstorm.ee is the same deal except overrated albums.

You don't have to believe every word, or agree with everything a reviewer says. Use them as a guide, maybe listen to one or two songs off the album, then buy it if you like the songs and the review is good. It's what I do

Actually, i'l defend MS on this one too. Their reviews are quite good, every reviewer has a particular style and you can notice it, Jeff likes to explain the album, Rozz likes to talk about each second of it, herzebeth likes to convince the reader that is a good album hahaha, although i do prefer Undercraft reviews, he surely knows how to make a review totally entertaining, his reviews are quite creative from time to time!

I think the main trouble with MS is the ratings , not the reviews, sometimes they rate too high some albums...

MS has some decent reviews but i can see the whole angle..that is why you make ur own mind up and only use reviews to see other perspectives of albums

you may have missed my point. im not saying MS reviews are bad. im not saying trhat they might be useful to people looking for new music. my point is that i can't trust their opinions on these albums if they carefully select people to review new albums

well, apparently you DON'T know how it works. Because people aren't selected AT ALL. I don't know why it is you think it works that way. So, you better zip it, I think you are just pissed off because some of your favourite bands gota bad review and bands you don't like got a good review. Live with and get a life. A review is just personal opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.
God, how I hate those loathsome fanboys/girls who can't stand criticism of thier own fav bands and can't stand a good review of a well-known band. God, imagine you actually agreeing... won't that cost you some points in the tr00, nekr0, kvlt, krieg and grim corner.
