What do you guys think about the new Metallica album?

The new Metallica album has been out for a while now, and since they are "considered" metal I feel obligated to ask everyone their opinions about the new album...

nah i dig it.... i like everything from and justice for all.. backwards, eg:kill em all.. r.t.l. m.o.p......... and they seemed to have redeemed themselfs with death magnetic... some parts really suck ass, but most of it is awesome

Ive only heard one tune from it and it was OK nothing like the impact they had back in the day.

Of course they are metal. I get confused how some fans will rave on about Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath & Judas Preist then say Metallica aren't metal. They've always been metal they just lost their status as being a thrash band.

I remember the old Metallica days which were absolutely awesome and like Wreak I stopped listening to them after "And Justice For All".

I bought the album and a day or so later I also saw them live at the O2 arena. When I first listened to the album I was pleased but still a bit unsure. Since I've listened to it more the more I like it. I definetely think its cool and a return to their original style. They are back at being a thrash band (considerring they invented it in the first place).

I've only heard a couple of songs, don't know what any of them were called but just from that I am quite impressed, it's a hell of a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

I used to be one of they're biggest fans and have seen them about 7 times. But they really lost me after the Black album. I really just sorta gave up on them. There was one really un-polished instrumental off their last one that just didn't make the cut that was called "Vampira's Sorrow" that was classic Hammett and should have been on the cd. But after the last few cds they've done, I haven't even wasted my time. I even passed up Ozzfest this summer in favor of the Mayhem festival w/ Disturbed & Slipknot. I never would have done that in their glory days. I guess I'll check it out because there is a small buzz about it, but I'll definitely dL it before I buy the original. I've been ripped off too many times by buying their stuff only to find out all they did was wipe their ass on a cd and charge me $18.99 for the trouble.

Yeah the new album is shit I got it $5 bucks still its better than some bands but still shit I won't listen to.

I listen to it but the Metallica that I Know and I Respect to beiing one of the greatest band ever made stopped after the ...And Justice For All Album.By The Way,the new album is better than St.Anger and Load-Reload
