Lol. No I did it all the time. I was always at gigs like this. I was a regular. I think the mosh pits were more violent. But not like people try to mosh today. Back then we were just one big family and it was way more fun and if you fell over someone would help you up.
People trying to mosh today are out to prove a point or are trying to convince others how hard they are. If someone moshs into me with this attitude I'm liable to smack 'em, lol. That shows 'em how hard they are, lol.

I was on a quite few videos but I can only find this one

. I once even got a cheaky kiss off MTV presenter Vanessa Warwick (sorry Ricky Warwick - I was only about 14 - 15 and it was only a quick peck on the cheak, lol. I'm sure I only got away with it as I was so young looking but cheaky with it)

I was also at this concert too. The song "Cowboys from Hell" had just been released in the UK. This was at the Marquee club and not many people were there as Pantera were unheard of until the song got major play on MTV (internet was not around then). I was about 2nd in the que with my friend as we didn't have tickets so we were buying them on the door and got there early. We actually met the band as they came out about an hour before to see how big the que was getting. They spoke to us and signed a card advert they pulled of the wall inside. I've since lost the card and it would have had Dimbag's autograph too. Within weeks I was at a different gig and the DJ before the bands played cowboys from hell and the crowd went mad. I was like "how come no one went to their gig?".

Yeah Speed Daemon I know what you mean about the moshs. When I went to see Slayer last year in brissy I was getting groped left, right and center no matter where I moved to in the mosh, but i suppose that's what people do in mosh pits. Though I thought they would have more respect for a 17yr old girl who's only defence was trying to elbow all the perverts in the face.
I watched that video and you werent even in it. Unless there was a second video to it in which case I couldn't be stuffed looking for it.
Lol all these years later and your still bragging about how she kissed you... I think some one had a crush!!

P.S. How could you lose something like that though!? I would of had it framed within 24 hours and on my wall!!

I never thought of it from a girls perspective. Thats a bit sick really if blokes need the urge to "grope". It shows how sad they are as they obviously can't get a girl for themselves.

I wasn't in the video. That was just to show who Venessa was. She used to be a presenter for MTV. I was at the concert to the interview and they did have "Primal Concrete Sledge" video from that night and I was partly in that I come across from the side and you see half my body. The video on Youtube now of PCS is from an American show and not the same one.
I never really had a crush on her. She is the wife of Ricky Warwick from the Almighty and I've never had to go for other men's ladies. I always had my own. I think its just funny how my cheakiness was. I'm sure not everyone could say they could get away with that.

Yeah I know what you mean. I think being a girl in the mosh pit is alot more scarey then being a guy. When I went to see Judas Priest a few weeks ago I didnt get groped at all (but maybe that's because my dad was standing right behind me), though I did get a bloody lip when I was head butted by this drunk guy. I think it just all depends on the band and the kinda crowd they pull to the concerts.
It kinda sucks being a girl - I mean your smaller then everyone else and not strong enough to shove people out of the way or stop them from getting infront of you, and I'm always freaking out that I'm going to get molestered by the random guys around me. Plus half the time you can't see anything because of all the 6 foot giants that just have to be at the front

Lol well she was pretty hot. Though I think she was the sneaky one for giving you a kiss.

I don't understand people wanting to get into a mosh pit anyway, when you know what happens and how big some of the people are!

Wouldn't you enjoy it more out of harms way where you can stand back and actually listen to the music and watch, without copying flaying limbs left, right and centre???

Oh that sounds like a fucking excellent idea. I would love to be able to do that though I know I'd probably be too chicken shit too. I mean some of those guys are fucking huge!!!!

Lol what?! you can't be serious. A concert is nothing UNLESS you are in a mosh! I felt sorry for all the people at Judas Priest who just sat in there chairs and watched from the sidelines.
The atmosphere of the mosh, the struggle against your peers, the blood sweat and tears.. that IS metal man. You cant honestly see that?
I might sound like I'm complaining about moshing itself, but I'm not, I'm just pointing out some of the things I dislike about them but my urge to get into the mosh and fully experience the concert is much greater then my fear for my own well being.
