I'm really into trying new food and in general eating good food! My Father was the Chef for the Hilton Hotel for over 20 years so I grew up eating really good food....what are some of your favorite foods?

I really like Japanease food!!! If I could afford it I would eat Sushi everyday!!!! Love that stuff!

Nice thread. I really love the good, old Danish food. If I have to mention other countries it would probably be Greek or Asian.

What kind of food do they eat in Denmark? Is it like German food? All I know of Danish food is their deserts...and I don't know if they are even really true Danish food.

My favorite food is sushi!!!
I loved it from the first time I've tasted it.

In fact I love eveything japanese. The language, the culture and especially anime and manga.

Yeah Eel and Yellow Tail fish are some of my favorite!! Can't stand Sea Urchin though, or the really big fish eggs...those taste like pond water.

What kind of desserts do you mean? I don't think we've adopted any, so it's most likely true, Danish desserts. Well, let me show you some pictures of traditional Danish courses.

1. Roast pork with potatoes, cabbage and gravy.


2. Pork with potatoes and parsley gravy.


3. Hamburger steak with soaked onions, potatoes and gravy.


4. Smoked saddle of pork with potatoes, gravy, mustard and often served with cabbage.

Our courses may look very "raw", but it depends. It may be served in many different ways, it depends on which part of the country you are in.

Yeah I would say it is simular to German food...I see you guys eat red cabbage too, we had that in our resturant as well. Lots of Potatoe too...the food looks good...heavy too just like German food, I bet its good.

Some Danish Pastries that I've tried are called Cherry Cheese Danish...its kind of like a donut with a cheese and cherry filling...really good, but I don't know if it is an authentic Danish dessert....sorry don't have a picture.
