You can keep your avatar the same for few days.Then people would recognize you and once they are familiar,you can change the avatar too

Another thing, I do not see the quick reply box that should be there. So each time I have to click on 'Post reply'. And in there too, three smilies (named- headbang,headbanging ,guitar) do not load and instead there is a box with a cross. Help needed.

Not only the smilyies, but most avatars don't load as well. Thats why I don't have one anymore.

The avatars that are uploaded to this site don't work. However, if you upload it to another site, such as 'imageshack.us', and give the link, it works well.

Well, I haven't gotten around to re-uploading those smileys, so that's why they aren't there, lol.
As for the avatars, I'm not sure. Mine's uploaded to the site. I'll try setting your avatar myself, Jake. But I'll do it in the morning, it's late now *yawns*
