a little help with growls/screams/grunts
VocalsDiscuss a little help with growls/screams/grunts in the Metal Instruments forums; Okay.
I've been working on vocals as of late and just need a few pointers to improve.
I don'...
Okay.

I don't have much volume and can't hold a sustained growl/scream for an extended period of time (no more than 6 or 7 seconds) and then my voice either cuts out or gets a bit crackly or hoarse. It kinda feels like I ran out of the saliva that was lubing my cords and throat or there just wasn't any mucus or saliva coating the cords. That's the best way I can think of to describe what happens.
What warm-ups and exercises can I do to lengthen the growls/screams and bring the volume up considerably?
Lol... don't think alcohol would help but that's funny.
But I find it hard to believe that there haven't been very many hits on this thread yet...
Kinda aggravating but hopefully someone knowledgeable about this stuff will talk to me sometime.
Well damn, I see there are no real responses yet, well I mostly eat thick chocolate cream before growling/screaming/grunting and it helps alot and tastes good too
