Construction begins on the new secret weapon.....a guitar I'm building with body, neck, and all parts purchased mail-order from internet catalogs and websites. I worked out the specifications all summer long, while the body was being cut......and will do the "finish" myself (have refinished 4 guitars in the past month and all have turned out much better than expected).
Specs. are: 25-1/2" scale, wayne charvel star-shaped body (alder-not laminated-a real chunk of wood), WD strat-head neck with maple fretboard, WilburnCustomShop/Kent Armstrong pickup, NO neck pickup, 6-screw strat tremolo, Grover tuners, all black hardware, one volume, NO tone control, and a coil-tap switch. Finish will be lots of clear gloss.
