Default Women in black metal scene.

I am a female and i do enjoy Black Metal music, and i agree is a life style and not for any kind of girl, because as we all know black metal is a rough, dark, grotesque and raw music and girls has been raised to be delicate, soft and sensitives.

But i dont care, i dont see myself as a ''NORMAL'' girl, i like military stuff, rough music, boots, spikes, knives, axes and viking stuff...if that makes anormal...im guilty!

I think some of us can be taken serious in the black metal scene, there's many black metal bands out there with girls rowling and playing the guitar that worth listening to.

Musically i don't see it as appropriate but supporting the cause? Why not, there are far more girls into it than you can imagine.

I never did like being normal.

Haha...

You obviously know nothing about the killer acts of Demonic Christ and Bestial Holocaust....two really killer acts, both fronted by women. Having a vag doesn't make a women any less qualified to play Black Metal. Shit, Dana from Demonic Christ has more conviction and support for the scene than most men I know.

^Hey what are some female fronted BM bands? I'm still a BM n00b, but all I've never heard is a few tracks from Wolves In The Throne Room where a female did vocals.

Sigh (Japan), Tymah (Hungary), and Melecolia Estatica (Italy) come to mind.

I actually like Melancolia Estatica but Climaxia doesn't do the vocals. Are those other bands actually fronted by a woman? Meaning are there female vocals?

I'm reasonably feminine, but I am into all sorts of metal (including very extreme genres) and also interested in Norse Mythology and Viking stuff.
I'm not like other girls my age though. Or any people really :/

You're not abnormal for having such interests. You're unique, and fucking awesome for being different and having personality.
