It was on a various artists cd "In the eyes of death" and there I did discover Borknagar. The first cd was The Olden Domain by Borknagar, the first song was The Legacy of Twin Obscenity

I might get toasted for that but I started with Cradle of Filth's 'Vempire'.. then came 'Dusk & Her Embrace' and THEN I started investigating the scene (Emperor, Darkthrone and Bathory).

I also started with Dimmu Borgir's Enthroned Darkness Triumphant around the same period.. Well in Mauritius we didn't have much of a choice for BM anyway, had to cope with whatever was available to us at that time.

Edit: I forgot.. there was Marduk's Nightwing too.. I loved it, and still do.

cant remember my exact first, but in the nightside eclipse was one of the first! i bought it on vinyl , i remember it was also the 4th vinyl i ever brought!
just EPIC!
