I recall the old Dawn of the Blackhearts album cover from a very early point in my life....

But it wasn't untill my late teens i actually heard Black metal; It was Immortal's call of the wintermoon (video clip as well), and thought what a load of shit. I was embarassed on behalf of people who thought these lord of the rings nerds were cool. I loled like i never loled before

Obviously black metal is something u need to train your ear in order to enjoy. Its an acquired taste so to speak. Though I still feel the image is ridiculous

Immortal's Tragedies Blows at Horizon was the first black metal song I ever heard, and still my favorite.

Considering I'm only 16..I believe it was actually Marduk. I saw a clip on Rage, at like 2am.

But it didnt kick in straight away, I mean, listening to it. Its like opera, your ears have to be tuned to listen to it.

Back before I was really into metal (my school years) I gave a listen to Dimmu Borgir, so I guess that was my first... can't remember much else, I'm sure there might've been something else but they stuck in my mind the most, so yeah..

But The First Black Metal Band I Listened To Was Gorgoroth And It Was A Demo Of Them Just Screaming And The Guitarist Doing Shit As Drumming
