I agree with you there ( For All Tid <3 ) its a shame really that they didnt break up after thos three albums but they have made the odd good song since then also

To be real honest then i have heard only about 5 songs from them...I downloaded some songs about a year ago, but thats it - didnt find it interesting and havnt had a real reason to download it more. I guess if i had found it really interesting then today id be one of those BM "fans" who thinks that DM and CoF are the real things and tr00 metal. :P

While I agree with you, I'd say it's the other way around. IMO Dimmu seem to have more dignity nowadays because newer albums (OK, maybe not DCA) like PEM were actually really kick ass albums. Cradle, ugh. I can't even stand to hear their fuckin name anymore. Nymphetamine, very fucking clever. GILDED CUNT!!! EEEERGH! NOW I'M METAL!

In my opinion, Dimmu Borgir's old stuff is lame and boring. I don't care whether or not it's true, I just don't like it. And though I wouldn't call myself a Dimmu fan, their newer stuff is definetly more worthwhile than their older.

Does anyone else like their newer stuff better?

Yeah, I would agree that it's the band everyone loves to hate. In their early days (Stormblast etc.) they wern't too bad. Of course they were terrible compared to Darkthrone or Immortal or any of the 'true' BM bands, but if you compare Stormblast to something like Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia, then Stormblast actually sounds like real black metal, as opposed to the synth, gothic type band they are now. But to be honest, neither their early, or late material would come in my top 20 albums.....

well, like I said, in my opinion, they are better now than they were back then. Nowadays I don't like their style and I think they are cheesy, but their music is decent and worth listening to if that's the genre you like. BUUUUUT, their old shit is boring as hell.

I saw their World Misanthropy DVD and the most coolest part was like throwing a holy bible into the deep abyss of the toilet. Haha. They are like always drinking and that was kinda heavy.
