confusing people is fun.
Well, I'll try to explain more clearly. I don't like wall of sounds, where everything sounds the same and has a flat sound, but too much distortion I don't like either. I can stand a lot of distortion, don't get me wrong, but BM that almost sounds as noise really puts me off. Am I clear now?

Ha ha. . .yeah! I think you're more refering to NO production! For example when a band records live in the middle of a tiny room with one mic, and everything just 'blends' into fuzz! I think I'm with you now!

The raw production has to grow on you, sooner or later you won't be able to stop listening to bands with the raw production.

I don't think its so much having to 'get used' to it! I think you either like it or you don't. The thing is, what do YOU call good and what do YOU call bad production??? This is also a matter of opinion!!! As I've heard people saying that they listen to Cradle of Crap because its Evil and Raw with bad production because they (COF) don't give a FUCK about people and want to kill everyone. . .etc, etc (What a laugh!)
You'd probably be very surprised if you found out how much they spend on their recordings and production to try and sound half decent!!!

I think you should get used to it, because first, you don't hear a proper melody but when you're a trained "distortion listener", you can separate the melodies from the other sound. I think heavy distortion brings a higher dimension in the music.

Marduk had the best sound. I mean everything is audible. The 'great productions' somehow doesn't suit this kind of music, but Swedish Necromorbus Studio got a great number of bands there that really sounded great but still able to sound crude and harsh.

I dont like black metal to be well produced at all. Sure, stuff like Bael takes it a little too far, but I like the sound of Revenge, Conqueror, Teitanblood, Goat Molestor etc. Raw, dirty and aggressive.
