the Self Titled and Under the sign of the black mark...with out those albums Black Metal would not be what it is today. BTW Quorthon actually thinks BM is a joke.....

The Return... is the best. Very dark and bestial.
Under the Sign of the Black Mark shows more great songs.
Hammerheart created a new genre.
Nordland I is his latest great work (Nordland II wasn't that good)

Under The Sign Of The Black Mark and Hammerheart are my favourites. But most Bathory albums are great.
