Obituary is awesome, I love Ralph Santolla's leads on Xecutioner's Return, the old stuff's great too.

In my opinion I think that Slowly We Rot was their greatest album. I love Gates To Hell, it's such a fucking awesome song.

Obituary, regardless, is one of the greatest old school death metal bands of all time.

I love their band logo, cool as. I also like the artwork that the band has on their album covers. The new Tardy brothers project will be interesting. Still waiting to have an opportunity to listen to the Executioners return album.

Just got my hands on the Obituary- Anthology album. I'll say that if you are curious about this band, then listen to this. The Boiling point (212 sporadic mix) is an interesting industrial mash. After not hearing some of these tracks for years i.e stuff off Slowly we rot, World demise etc, i will be chasing these down. When i was in my teens, i found Obituary hard to get into. The exception being Cause of death. Now i'm older i think that they are heavy as fuck and i'm really liking what i'm hearing. The wierd thing is that i didn't realise that they are no longer on Roadrunner records. They are on Candlelight records. This is a bit odd because the label is more based around Black metal, Isahn, Emperor, Burzum, but they even have Destruction on there.

While I'm not a huge death metal fan, Cause of Death simply crushes. I liked the last one they did too, can't remember the title.
