They 'were' to begin with (more Death for the first 3 IMO), and they most DEFINATELY are NOT Thrash now!!!
Anyone posting that their favourite Sepultura album is "Roots" should not be posting in the "Thrash" forum. As I don't know how anyone can like that "jump up and down mosh-pit" bullshit they now play more than their classics! Unless, like I've said before, you like Nu-metal crap, which in my opinion is total and utter commercialised, money making, egotistical CRAP! |

Chaos AD is comercial sounding? Please elaborate on how that is comercial? From Beneath The Remains to Chaos AD, that my friends is thrash metal, its the riffs and drums that make Seppy thrash, not the fuckin vocals in which so many people like to think. Sorry metalrachel666 your retort is so far out to left field it makes my wanna cyberslap the shit out of you. |

They were 16 years old when they made that album and it sounded like it came out of thier garage. Bands that young develop and grow into a polished unit. Sure it was raw, but Max's vocals were fucking horrible, and Jairo Guedz wasn't nearly the axeman that Andreas Kisser was and is. Just because their production and skill, and sound has tightened right up over the years, doesn't mean they've gone "commercial". If they pigeon-holed themselves into that stagnant "deathmetal" sound from Morbid Visions, they would of gotten no where, and never gotten the acclaim that they have achieved. Morbid Visions was fucking recycled and incredibly generic, and thank God they saw it that way too. Thier best years were from Beneath the Remains to Chaos, bar none. Get your deathmetal head out of your ass and expand your horizons |
