Default Glimpse into Old School Metal = thrash

I've read many posts on various forums or sites from old school metalheads and I often see a clash of opinion or knocking down from much newer & younger fans who think they know all about the evolution of what metal is. So only for the younger fans who might be interested...

Get your white Nike Basketball boots and checkered lumberjack shirts on folks it time to do the toxic waltz!!! Old School thrash as it was seen. CDs were not invented and Videos had just come out. Anyone remember Beta max??

Tom Araya sounds so cool when he talks.

If truth be know most people back then as I remember didn't really take Napalm Death that seriously due to the vocal style. I remember laughing when I borrowed a friend's Napalm Death LP and it came with a lyric sheet. They were just famous as being the most extreme band in existance. They only had a small underground following. It wasn't until Death Metal became a bigger scene about a year or so later that Napalm Death got worldwide popularity.
There is more to the interview with Napalm Death where the band are explaining what thrash metal is by drawing a diagram on a bit of paper and how they see it as a cross between Heavy Metal and Punk Rock. That was not featured in this video so there must be another one.

I actually found a vid on Google with me on. The video is from a year or so later around 1990 (fuck me thats like nearly 20 years ago..shock!!". I'm the one who first stage dives running from the left. I'd just had to get my hair cut shorter as I was in my last year at school and had to attend job interviews. It was half way down my back. I grew it back straight after. I've been in a few vids of similar bands but this is the only one I have been able to find.
