Grave Digger-Symphony of Death (EP) This album will sometime's be titled "The Reaper Part Two" due to it's simular feel. Eventhough this isn't actually an album, I believe that this is Grave Digger's best work to date. It's short, but sweet.
The record opens with a dark intro consisting of synthesizers putting you in the mood of the album. Once the intro ends the title track begins. "Symphony of Death" consists of some violent lyrics and wicked guitar work. Chris Boltendahl's vocals are as unique as ever and he adds an epicness to the song. Once you hear the chours, the hook will grab you by the ears and won't let go.
"Back to the Roots" and "House of Horror" continue with the catchy vibe and killer vocal work.
"Shout it Out" is one of the band's faster tracks. Chris alters his voice to a higher tone which is quite refreshing. The drum and guitar work are also supurb.
"World of Fool's" is a change of pace. The slower tone and different lyrical content calms down the listener.
Last but not least, "Wild and Dangerous." This is one amazing song with the same awesome musicianship as the other songs contain.
Overall this release is amazing. It will fill your head with great riffs and incredable vocals.
I give it a 9.0 out of 10. Fantastic record. I just wish it could have lasted longer.
