Default Arch Enemy: Rise of the tyrant

So I was naughty and d/l a torrent of a promo with the bleeps edited out by someone who is awesome and I must say this album is fucking sweet
Fucking cool riffs by the Amott brothers, great vocals by Angela, the best to date imo and all round great songs. It has 11 tracks:

1. Blood on our hands
2. The last enemy
3. I will live again
4. This shallow Grave
5. Revolution begins
6. Rise of the tyrant
7. The day you died
8. Intermezzo liberate
9. Night falls fast
10. The great darkness
11. Vultures

I really like Blood on our hands, The last enemy, This shallow grave, Intermezzo liberate and night falls fast. All together it is a very solid album.

I will defiantly be buying it when it is released.
8/10

How does it compare next to Doomsday Machine AND Wages of Sin (I didn't like Doomsday Machine, but liked WoS)?

you struck my curiousity about this album so i went and downloaded it last night. after listening to it twice i'd have to say i agree with you. buying DDM was a mistake on my part because i didn't really like it (minus two or three songs), but rise of the tyrants is better by far. i wouldn't say it's better than wages though...

i'm still buying this one when it comes out though. definitely worth the money.

You do bring up a good point. but if I were to base all bands with "well, its better than hardcore" then I would probably enjoy the B-52's and heil them as the best band ever in comparison to Hatebreed. haha

It's a good album, picked it up the day it came out and got to meet the band and get sigs and stuff during their tour. Some parts of this album Angela reminds me of Anders from In Flames.
