Well, I'd say myself it's, - a heavy metal -- grunge -- hip hop fusion.

This are 'heavy' bands with hip-hop like lyrics. You can pick these type bands out yourself.

well in that case, why is Ill Nino and LimpBizkit (metal at all?) considered nu-metal? note that I'm not trying to start an argument or anything....

Those bands are not metal. They are rock. Hard rock bands are given the label of metal to sound cool I guess. Most everything you'll hear on mainstream public radio is rock and nu metal. Once in awhile you'll hear early metal like Judas Priest or Dio.

how is Ill Nino hard rock? the shitstorm known as Three Days Grace is hard-rock, and I would never put Ill Nino in the same category; they're more heavier than that...

Nu Metal

Not truly a metal sub-genre, more closely like a 2nd cousin twice removed, Nu Metal combines some metallic and alternative rock riffing with a hip hop based vocal delivery and rhythm. Usually involves heavy sampling and turn table use. Many bands reached mainstream status. Lyrics usually tell of some sort of hardship, whether it be a relationship failure or substance abuse. Few true metal heads put this bastardization of our music on the same level as other genres however.

Ohk

Its Like Mixing Pantera With Shit Like Run Dmc

Its Like A Fusion Genre

Say If You Mixed A Lion And A Tiger What Would It Be?

Its Not A Lion Or A Tigre

Its A Completly Fucked Up Genre
That Really Dosent Exist

I Mean People Say Mudvayne, Slipknot, Korn And Limp Bizkit Are Nu Metal And Theyre All Right

Every One Of Them Has Had Some Influence By Hip Hop Or Rap
